Each year, the St. Augustine Medal is presented to a Merrimack community member who embodies the College’s mission to enlighten minds, engage hearts and empower lives. This year, the College had the privilege of awarding the 2024 St. Augustine Medal to Fr. Gary McCloskey, O.S.A.!

Throughout his career, Fr. McCloskey served Merrimack well, from devoted trustee to academic vice president and dean of the College. His commitment to education and service to others is a hallmark of his vocation. Additionally, his scholarly work on Augustinian pedagogy has made him one of the leading scholars in the field.

Congratulations, Fr. McCloskey! Thank you for your continued support and impact on the College, our students and the community.
